Dial-a-Carol is an annual fundraising event held by the Oddfellows & Rebekahs organizations in Grand Falls-Windsor. In mid-Decemeber, the groups' members gather to broadscast the live event over the airways. Supporters call in a pledge and request a Christmas carol in honour or in memory of a loved one. The proceeds have been donated to the South and Central Health Foundation for 38 years and used to fund various projects and services in children's health.
On Sunday, December 15th, the Independent Order of Oddfellows Exploits Lodge 2N and Rebekahs will be broadcasting our Annual “Dial-A-Carol” on Rogers TV, Channel 9 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Because of people like you, the annual Dial-a-Carol fundraiser, for four decades, has been able to help the South and Central Health Foundation purchase numerous pieces of equipment for the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre to support patient care.
This year we are hoping you will join our dedicated members of the Oddfellows & Rebekahs to raise the funds to purchase equipment for the Women and Children’s Health Unit to benefit the patients – moms, babies and their families - during their stay at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.
To help Central Health’s nursing staff in providing the new mom and baby with the best care possible, the Foundation has committed to purchasing several pieces of medical equipment for the unit such as a birthing bed and Nitrous Oxide Gas for pain management during delivery; a medical grade electronic breast pump, as well as sleeper chairs for Dad or a family member to stay and help mom and baby. These items and more will be funded with your help.
Please tune into Rogers TV, Channel 9 for the Dial-a-Carol program from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, December 15th. You can also watch the show from any mobile device or computer by visiting Rogers’ webpage at www.rogerstv.com. Click on the Grand Falls-Windsor channel and then clicking the Watch Now button.
With your support we can accomplish this together!
