Ways to Support ‘Golfing for Green’

You may support our event in a combination of ways:

·         Become a Corporate Sponsor. $2,500 sponsorship fee includes a complimentary team registration for four participants. Our Corporate Sponsors present the net proceeds from the Tournament to the CEO of the Central Regional Health Authority (or her representative) during the luncheon immediately following the Tournament and are also in our event media photo announcing proceeds. Corporate sponsors receive two complimentary golf carts to use during the Tournament.

·         Register or sponsor a team of four to participate. The cost for a team of four is $900. You can take advantage of our early bird registration of $800 until July 31st. We also accept registration for individual players at a cost of $250 each.

·         Sponsor a tee or hole at a cost of just $250. This is a great way to show your support if you are unable to participate as a golfer. The Foundation will provide signage on the Tee. You also have the option to set up a display on the tee/hole that you are sponsoring.

·         Donate prizes that can be used for our random draws, longest drive, closest to the pin, putting contest…This is a great way to help us to keep costs at a minimum and to ensure a high quality event.

Golfers Fund Therapy Dog Program for Youth Treatment Center

In early 2016, the South and Central Health Foundation was delighted to introduce the two newest and furriest members of the Central Health team....Bear and Bella joined the team of professionals helping youth at Hope Valley Center in Grand Falls-Windsor.

Bear and Bella are extensively trained Therapeutic Service Dogs. They are the first in-residence Therapy Dogs in our province! Our charity feels strongly about supporting the mental health and well-being of the people se...rved by Central Health and we are so grateful for the generous support of our donors, sponsors and volunteers. Funds for this specific project resulted from our Golfing for Green Charity Tournament.

If you support the efforts of our Health Foundation in any way, please accept our sincere appreciation and know that we strive every day to honour your support in meaningful, impactful ways! (Special thanks to Exploits Valley Animal Hospital which has committed to provide complimentary food and veterinary care for our Therapy Dogs for life!)

Thanks to many generous businesses and individuals our annual Golfing for Green Charity Tournament was a huge success once again.

Held at the Grand Falls Golf Course on August 11th, more than 130 golfers took part in this great fundraising event helping to raise $32,000 for health programs and services for patients served at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre.

Thank you to our Corporate sponsors: Dr. Wian Lotter, Steers Insruance, Newfoundland Styro, Teck Duck Po...nd, Burnt Bay Construction and Labatt.
